Logo Design + Visual Identity System

Phase 1:

Workshop + Seattle Run

Back in 2019, I was asked to design a simple invitation for the first reading of the musical. This same logo and typography system ultimately evolved into the campaign that launched the full production. Mrs. Doubtfire premiered to the public at the 5th Avenue Theater in Seattle on April 5th, 2019. The creative campaign expanded the identity beyond the logo that was designed for the original workshop, and included a soft green and yellow color palette and playful typeset words in the voice of the titular character.

Phase 2:

Broadway Previews

Leading up to the Broadway production, the creative campaign shifted to feature an expanded palette of background colors and an exciting new set of images and videos of Mrs. Doubtfire and the Hillard family. Campaign photography by Andrew Eccles and video capture by The Family.

Phase 3:

Broadway Opening

When the production opened on Broadway, we launched an exciting new version of the campaign that incorporated more cast members and a more vibrant blue background color. Mrs. Doubtfire opened on Broadway on December 5, 2021 at the Stephen Sondheim Theater. Photography by Matthew Murphy.
